Died unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at his residence

Born April 26, 1924 in Good-Hope Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio
The son of the late William F. and Rose Catherine (Geiger) Hahn

"Jake" was a plumber and mechanical contractor and had retired as a partner with the Geiger Bros. Mechanical Contractors, Inc. of Logan.
Member of St. John Catholic Church
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II-----------Member of the VFW in Logan
Former member of Logan Kiwanis Club--------Member of the Hocking County Historical Society
An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed the sport of rabbit hunting--------Life member of the Columbus Beagle Club.
Member of the Hocking County Fish and Game Association---------Member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #577
Past recipient of the Barton A. Hall Citizenship Award and  had also received the Hocking Hills State Park "Heart of Hocking" Award in 1993
Member of the Bush Restaurant Breakfast Club and an honorary member of the St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary of St. John Catholic Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Winojean "Winnie" (Sloan) Hahn (12-20-07)and a brother, William J. Hahn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in St. John Catholic Church, with his grandson, Rev. Fr. William P. Hahn and Msgr. William A. Dunn, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan,  where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, where a Christian Vigil Service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Family suggest that contributions in Jake's name may be made to St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary c/o 351 North Market St., Logan, Ohio, 43138.
