Mary Katheryn Daubenmier
Mary Katheryn Daubenmier, 80, joined
her Lord on October 9, 2008 following an extended illness. She was born January 14, 1928 in Marietta, Ohio. She was a 1946
graduate of Logan High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Mary is survived by her loving
husband of 62 years, Robert E. Daubenmier of Logan, son and daughter-in-law Robert L. and Frances (Rose)Daubenmier of Lancaster,
son Mark E. Daubenmier of Columbus, grandchildren Beau and Crystal Daubenmier of Lancaster, sister Betty Jo (Engle) Johnson
of Palmetto, Florida, sister-in-law Marty Engle of Toledo, Ohio, half-sister and husband Joanna (Engle) and Walter Poetker
of Marion, Ohio, half-brother Daniel Engle of South Carolina, special friends Midge Blum and Jim Vorhees of Logan and Bill
Schneider of Columbus, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emerson E. and
Nellie M. (Fair) Engle, step-parents Bernard and Ada June (Bolyard) Ansel, brother John Engle, half-sister Donna F. (Engle)
Flanigan, and brother law Garnet O. Johnson. Mary enjoyed following her children and grandchildren's sports and band activities
and was involved in the Chieftain Squaws and the Logan Band Boosters. For 24 years, Mary helped shape and enrich the lives
of many Hocking County children as a Day Care Provider. Mary was a lifetime member of Emanual Lutheran Church and was the
Treasurer of the WELCA for many years. Mary loved the comfort and companionship of her family and many friends. She also enjoyed
playing cards, board games and computer games, doing word puzzles and watching the birds feed outside her living room windows.
Family will receive friends at the Roberts Funeral Home, 60 West Hunter Street, Logan, Ohio, 43138. Calling hours will be
Sunday, October 12,2008 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be held at Emanual Lutheran Church,
29439 Hide-A- Way Hills Road, Logan, OH 43138 on Monday, October 13,2008 at 11 :00 AM, with Pastor Violet I. Meek officiating.
Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, OH. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in
memory of Mary to the Emanual Lutheran Church Building Fund.
