Jack Conway "Poppy" Roberts
Jack Conway "Poppy" Roberts, age 85, of Logan, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away in Arcadia
Acres Nursing Home, Ilesboro, Ohio Tuesday, February 10, 2009, after a brief illness. Born November 28, 1923, in Logan, Ohio,
he was the son of the late Earl O. and Ruth Belle (Conway) Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a general foreman for the Chesapeake
and Ohio Railroad having retired after 42 yearsof service. Jack was an passionate supporter of Logan High School athletics,
the Logan MarchingChieftains, and Ohio State Buckeye sports. He was a lover of music, enjoyed life and people, never met a
stranger and made the best home made ice cream.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eileen Fern (Cruise) Roberts
of Logan, Ohio; three daughters, Sue Ann (Edward) Seary of Toledo, Ohio, Jackie (Reggie) Short of Vinton, Virginia and Darcy
(John) Hamrick of Logan, Ohio; one son, Dean A. Roberts of Logan, Ohio; one sister, Jane Ann Rushia of Columbus, Ohio; eight
grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Thursday, February 12, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
