Harriet Teressa Harden, Age 90, of Logan, Ohio, formerly of Amanda and Pickerington, Ohio, died Saturday, February 14, 2009, in Logan Health Care Center, Logan.  She was born April 29, 1918 in Logan;  the daughter of the late Willard Lamont and Marie Elizabeth (Webb) Sprankel.

Mrs. Harden was a homemaker and along with her late husband, Woodrow Carpenter "Woody" Harden (2005) co-owned and operated the former Harden's Supermarket in Amanda, Ohio.
A 1936 graduate of Logan High School and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.  Member of Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Pickerington, Ohio.  Served as an Elder and Deacon of the Amanda Presbyterian Church.  Member of the Christian Education Association and various women's groups;  OCCL in Amanda.  Former member of the Amanda Village Council.

Surviving Harriet is a son Steven R. (Sandra) Wolfe of St. Charles, Illinois; a daughter, Penny B. (David) Spangler of Baltimore, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kyle (Angie) Lama, and Amy (Ed) Sines of Lancaster, Ohio, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Emma Wolfe of St. Charles, Illinois;   Four great-grandchildren, Landen and Lauren Lama  and Aaron and Evan Sines all of Lancaster, Ohio;  a step-son Richard E. "Dick" (Jolene) Harden of Logan; three step-grandchildren,  Rich Harden, and Joelle Giffin of Logan and Jennifer Phillips of Sunbury, Ohio; a niece Anita (Wayne) Bowlby of Logan; a nephew Tim (Debbie) Saunders of Rockbridge, Ohio; cousins, one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law and many special friends.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Marie Stivison and a nephew Terry L. Saunders.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009, with Pastor Jeff Myers, officiating..
Burial will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan.
