Mabel Irene Harden, age 87, of Logan, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Hocking Valley Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Born October 17, 1921 in Logan, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Alfred Ellis and Emma Catherine (Brown) McCune.  

Mrs. Harden was a former custodian in the Logan-Hocking School District. She was a member of the Scenic Hills Senior Center in Logan, Ohio.

She is survived by son, Larry E. (Lynette) Harden, of Logan, Ohio; daughter, Patricia Irene Tolliver of Logan, Ohio; brother, Dean W. McCune of Logan, Ohio; three grandchildren, Connie (Doug) Williamson of Logan, Ohio, Kenneth (Lisa) Tolliver of Rockbridge, Ohio, and Rodney (Joy) Harden of Logan, Ohio; five great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Merle Harden (1998), daughter Nancy Ann Harden, son-in-law, Lloyd Allen Tolliver, five brothers, Richard, Harry, Alva, Carl, and Ernest McCune.  

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Reverend James R. Mathias officiating.  

Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery, Washington Township, Hocking County, Ohio following the funeral service.
