Josephine Lucinda Stephen, age 94, of Thurston, Ohio formerly of New
Straitsville, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Hocking Valley
Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Born February 19, 1915 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late
James Lester and Ida May (High) Fuller.

Mrs. Stephen had worked for the Carborundum Company of Logan, Ohio. She loved
to sew and make rag dolls for her children, grand children great-grandchildren
and great-great-grandchildren; she loved to dance and enjoyed being with her
family.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Joseph Stephen of Columbus, Ohio and
Donald J. (Joan) Morgan of Columbus, Ohio; Three daughters Connie Marie
(David) Leadbetter of Logan, Ohio, Joyce Ann (Gary) Steward of Logan, Ohio and
Patricia Susan (Roy) Hendricks of Thurston, Ohio; numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death her husband of 65 years William
J. "Bill" Stephen (2007), by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Roberts
Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Thomas L. Gates officiating.

Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio
following the funeral service.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to service at the
funeral home.
