Helen Marie Spencer-Moorehead, age 86 of Logan, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the Hocking Valley Community Hospital Emergency Room in Logan, Ohio.

Born July 23, 1922 in Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Redman and Vina Alwilda (Mohler) Blair.

Mrs. Moorehead was a bookkeeper for the former C.C. Chute Trucking Company, Logan, Ohio; worked for the Hocking County Veteran's Commission for 13 years and also as a clerk for the Industrial Commission of Ohio.
She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Logan, Ohio; Venus Chapter #76, Order of Eastern Star; Logan Business and Professional Women's Association; Charter member of the Logan Toastmistresses Club; former member of the Logan V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Helen is survived by one son, Virgil David (Jane) Spencer of Logan, Ohio; one daughter, Helen Melissa Rowley of Jackson, Ohio; four grandchildren, Mari Beth Spencer, Seth, Jared and Samuel Rowley; and three great-grandchildren, Clair Copen, Carter and Chloe Bauer.

Besides her parents she is preceded by her first husband, Virgil Leroy Spencer (1987) and her second husband Ralph Owen Moorehead (2008), granddaughter, Jean Marie Rowley and great-grandson Ethan David Copen.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Logan, Ohio with Reverend Gerald L. Frazee officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio
