Robert Thomas Wallace, age 78 of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 in Hocking Valley Community Hospital Logan, Ohio. Born June 4, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Ellen G. (Organ) Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a 23-year career U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War.  He was also a former veteran’s representative for several years for The Ohio Veterans Service Commission, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League in Lancaster, Ohio, and also a member of the American Legion. Mr. Wallace was a member of the St. John Catholic Church Logan, Ohio and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2299. He is survived by two sons, Judge John T. (Nancy) Wallace of Logan, Ohio, Thor Thomas Wallace of West Newton, Massachusetts; and two grandchildren, Nathan Wallace and Alexander Wallace, both of Logan, Ohio He is preceded in death by his wife, Katrin Thordursdottir Wallace (2007), daughter-in-law Melissa Wallace, and one brother, John Francis Wallace. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are by the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.  Letters of condolences mayb be left at www.robertsfuneralhomelogan.com
