Alta Kennedy, age 100 of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at Logan Healthcare Center, Logan Ohio.
She was born February 11, 1909 in Wetzel County, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Elbert
and Emma Etta (Weekley) Arnett.
Ms. Kennedy was a clerk at Morris 5 & 10 Cent Store in
Logan, Ohio for 13 years and retired after 30 years of service from Elberfeld Company, Logan, Ohio. She was a member
of Trinity United Methodist Church Logan, Ohio where she was actively involved in the Mildred Clark Circle, and a 14-year
volunteer at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Arnett
(Judy) Kennedy of Logan, Ohio and James Elbert (Vickie) Kennedy of Jacksonville, Arkansas; one sister, Hazel Snell of Lancaster,
Ohio; one sister-in-law Ruth Arnett of Logan, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joe (Debbie) Kennedy of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Teri
(Michael) Chiarelli of Phoenix, Arizona, Pat (Doug) Vaughn of Paris, Texas, Debbie (David) Vaughn of Logan, Ohio, Becky Wiesel
of Lancaster, Ohio, Bobbi J. Kennedy of Logan, Ohio, Bryan Nihizer of Logan, Ohio; 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great
grandchildren.
Besides her parents she is preceded by her husband, Robert Theodore "Ted"
Kennedy (1975), daughter, Susan Louise Kennedy; two brothers, Earl Arnett and Glenn Arnett, and one sister, Edna Arnett.
Entombment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Good Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan with
Reverend Brian E. Arnold officiating.
