She was born July 7, 1914 in Montreal, Canada and was the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Douglas) Watt.

Ms. McKinney worked for the Sears Company of Gary, Indiana in Retail Drapery Sales. She was also a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church of Logan, Ohio.  

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Darrell McKinney (2006) with whom she was married to for 74 years; one daughter Colleen Perkins; and two sisters, Marie Hickman and Margaret Tickett.

She is survived by one son, Trent McKinney of Rockbridge, Ohio; one son-in-law, Donnie Perkins of Valparaiso, Indiana; six grandchildren, Mike McKinney of Logan, Ohio, Scott McKinney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brodric Milliser of Rockbridge, Ohio, Donya Gilbert and Lonnie Perkins of Kouts, Indiana, and Connie Florio from Valparaiso, Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee Grace McKinney, Nicholas Stepp and Emaurice McKinney- all from Logan, Ohio, and Nathan and Austin Florio of Valparaiso, Indiana.

A Memorial Service will be held September 5, 2009 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1321 Third Street, Logan, Ohio 43138. The TIme of Service has not yet been secured.
