WILLIAM LEO "BILL" AUKER

William Leo "Bill" Auker, age 70 of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 in the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Hospital after an extended illness.

Born September 11, 1938 in Logan, Ohio he was the son of the late Francis John and Mary Regina (Canty) Auker.

Bill had worked as an auto parts salesman for Ferd Hack Auto Supply for 25 years,  he was a U.S. Army Viet Nam War Veteran , member of the American Legion Lawrence Neil Helber Post 78 , VFW Post 6854, Moose Lodge #873,  the Viet Nam Veterans of America Chapter 983, and he was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan.

He is survived by five daughters; Beth Courter of Logan, Ohio, Chris (Vic Butts) Coakley of Logan, Ohio, Lynn (Luke) Horn of Gibisonville, Ohio, Jeannie (Wally) Notestone of South Perry, Ohio, Joy (Matt) Hynus of Logan, Ohio, one brother, Tom Auker of Logan, Ohio, two sisters, Patty (Marvin) McDaniel of Logan, Ohio, Rita Daubenmire of Sugar Grove, Ohio;  twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren  and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by brother-in-law, Ronnie Daubenmire.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday August 18, 2009 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, where military honors will be given by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Friends may call Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the Funeral Home.
