Mary Ellen Bayless, age 90 of Logan, Ohio passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 after an extended illness in Logan Health Care Center, Logan, Ohio.

Born June 8, 1919 Basil, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey Stivison and Nellie D. (Ruscoe) Lucas.

Mrs. Bayless worked at Fruehauf trucking company as a welder, owned and operated Bayless Dry Cleaning in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, she was also a factory worker for Progressive Plastics in Bellevue, Ohio, an avid bowler, enjoyed taking trips to Vegas and the riverboats, loved to travel and taking care of her pet cat Paulette.

She is survived by two sons, Rudolph (Mary) Shaeffer of Norwalk, Ohio and Ronnie (Sharon) Bayless of Chillicothe, Ohio; two daughters, Barbara (James E.) Donaldson of Logan, Ohio and Joann Shaeffer of Wakeman, Ohio; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband John L. Shaeffer, second husband Fred Russell Bayless and grandson Eric Bayless.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.

 

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.
