Robert Roy Stallsmith, age 82 of Logan, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly December 7, 2009 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.

   Born May 29, 1927 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roy A. and Blanche A. (Columber) Stallsmith.

   Mr. Stallsmith was a Sales Engineer for Gates Rubber Company, president of Audio Visual Media, Inc. of Mansfield, Ohio. Bob was also a WWII Pacific Theatre U.S. Army Veteran, a graduate of the Ohio State University and studied linguistics at Yale University. In his spare time Bob enjoyed remodeling, carpentry and spending time with family.

   He is survived by his wife, Bea Brandon Stallsmith of Logan, Ohio; two sons, Jerry Stallsmith of Stephensville, Texas and Mark (Karen) Stallsmith of Mansfield, Ohio; one step-son, Terry Brandon of Laurelville, Ohio; step daughter, Cindy (John) Finnearty of Athens, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Ben and Ann Stallsmith, Nikki, Britnee and Deigh Finnearty, Tinny and Lileigh Berling.

   Besides his parents he is preceded in death by first wife, Dorothy (Good) Stallsmith (2004) and sister Barbara Smith.

   A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with the Reverend Mark J. Daniels officiating.

   Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
