Dorothy May Ricketts, age 82 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at her residence, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 after an extended illness.

    Born July 6, 1927 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Elmer and Mary Ellen (Timberlake) Phillips.

    Mrs. Ricketts was a homemaker and had also worked as a food demonstrator for the Kroger Company and as a bookkeeper for the Logan City Auditor's office.

    She is survived by two sons, John W. (Janet E.) Ricketts of Logan, Ohio and Edwin J. (Mary L.) Ricketts of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Cynthia (Ed) Fickel and Lorelei (Jerry E.) Hall, both of Logan, Ohio;

eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Ann Graham of Tucson, Arizona and dear friend Gould Bethel of Rockbridge, Ohio.

    Besides her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Frank E. Ricketts (1991) and daughter Suzanne Myers (2006).

    Funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Roberts Funeral Home Logan, Ohio with Chaplain Linda Ward officiating.

   Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery Logan, Ohio.

   Visitation is from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
