Lonnie Jacob "Jake" Bail age 79 of Logan, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio after a brief illness.

Born June 7, 1930 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Samuel Fremont and Pearl Augusta (Woolever) Bail.

Lonnie was a retired engineer from Clearfield Energy formerly Buckeye Pipe Line for numerous years. Lonnie was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran during the  Korean Conflict and also had been a long time volunteer fire fighter for Logan City fire department. His memberships included the Masonic Mingo Lodge #171 F&AM, the Aladdin Temple Shrine in Columbus, Ohio, the Hocking Hills Shrine Club in Logan, Ohio, Logan Moose Lodge # 873, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 2168, Anglers Paradise Gun Club of Sugargrove, Ohio and the Isaac Walton League in Logan, Ohio.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann (Bennett) Bail; son, Dean Patrick Bail of Logan, Ohio, daughter Ann Bennett Bail (Eric Bush) of Denver Colorado; sister, Leola Jean Keffer of Medina, Ohio; brother & sister in-laws, Joel & Gail Bennett of Charleston, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Kenneth R. Bail.

Funeral service will be held at 8pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Roberts Funeral Home Logan, Ohio with the Reverend Gerald L. Frazee officiating.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home where a memorial service will be held at 6pm by the Moose Lodge and a Masonic Service at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Lonnie's memory be made to the Hospice of Hocking County, Ohio c/o 393 West Front Street Logan, Ohio 43138.
