Patricia Ann "Pat" Knoop age
70 of Rockbridge, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio, after a brief illness.
Born March 19, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of
the late Andrew and Dorothy (Fischer) Knoop.
Pat was a graduate
of Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio, MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, and Case Western University in Cleveland,
Ohio. She was on staff with the Youth Ministry at Saint John Church of Logan, Ohio. She also served as a lector, minister
of Holy Communion, sacristan, in the choir, coordinator of the Sunday religion education program, assisted with the Rite of
Christian Instruction of adults and was a member of the Bible Study group. She was working to complete a Master's degree in
Theology. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ, writing, reading, running, hiking and many hobbies including having her private
pilot's license. A remarkable woman, Pat was a former employee of Adecco, Springboro Schools, SofTech, Wright-Patterson Air
Force Base and NASA. She leaves behind a loving family, treasured friends and joyous memories.
She is survived by one brother, Douglas (Carol) Knoop of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law and dear friend,
Wanda Knoop of Kettering, Ohio; three nieces, Amy Schenkel of Kettering, Ohio, Lori (Stephen) Hensley of Arkadelphia, Arkansas,
and Patti (Mike) Miller of Mooresville, North Carolina; five great-nephews and one great-niece, Matthew and Hannah Schenkel,
Isaac and Braden Hensley, Samuel and Jacob Miller; and numerous cousins.
The
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, May 24, 2010 at Saint John Catholic Church Logan, Ohio, with
Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.
Graveside service will
be held at 2:30 pm at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery 8135 Dixie Drive Dayton, Ohio.
Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home Logan, Ohio where a Christian Vigil Service
will be held at 5 pm.
