Cheryl Ranae (Risen) Barlow

Cheryl Ranae Barlow, aged 72 of Lancaster, Ohio, entered her eternal home on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Embassy of Logan.

Born April 16, 1951 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Edgar and Leora “Lee” Maxine (Gatten) Risen.

Cheryl worked in home health providing care for those in their time of need. She had a very social personality and loved meeting new people and conversing with others every chance she could. Cheryl had a fondness for TV shows, specifically reality television and the occasional soap opera drama. She was an avid animal lover, especially cats. She was a proud member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Kevin D. Barlow (Rebecca) Barlow of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Amy D. (John) McCormick of Amanda, Ohio; and grandchildren, Chloe and Carson Barlow and Emily and Cody McCormick. She is also survived by several extended family members and numerous friends.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years, Wilbur Dennison “Denny” Barlow (2022).

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Tom Gates will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 10 AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, the Barlow family suggests donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made to the Hocking County Humane Society, 36960 Hocking Drive, Logan, Ohio 43138.
