James Sanford "Jim" Perry

James Sanford “Jim” Perry, aged 53 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.

Born March 8, 1970 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Franklin Roger and Judith Hope (Morrison) Perry.

Jim was affectionately known as “Tater” to many that had the pleasure of knowing him. He was always a jokester and was always willing to have a conversation. Jim graduated from Logan High School in 1989 and was formerly a manager for the McDonald’s corporation. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Logan and attended different churches throughout the years.

Jim was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and former season ticket member (Who Dey!). He was also a fan of Dale Earnhardt during his NASCAR days and loved his Chevy trucks. He enjoyed shooting sports and woodworking in his spare time. Most of all, Jim liked to spend his days with his family, friends, and dogs, Molly and Mira.

He is survived by his fiancée, Heather Leah Starr of Logan; one brother, Geoffrey (Julie) Perry Sr. of Logan; nephews, Geoffrey Perry Jr. and Jake Turner; nieces, Caroline Perry, Kristen Perry and Stephanie Turner; and “his boy”, Tyler Hughes.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John Mark Perry (2024).

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, officiated by Steve Rinehart.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
