Melvin Wesley “Buddy” Skiver Jr., aged 72 of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Logan, Ohio, passed away at home unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

Born January 27, 1952 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Melvin Wesley and Annie Josephine (Dye) Skiver Sr.

Buddy worked for Kraft Foods Inc. in Groveport, Ohio before retiring. He was a former member of the Ohio National Guard. Buddy was also a member of the American Legion Post #11, Amvets Post OH-1985, Moose Lodge 955, VFW Auxilliary 1380, and 40 ET 8.

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Heather (Chad) Dennis of Logan, Ohio, Amber (John) Lowry of Lancaster, Ohio, and Jennie Skiver of Lancaster, Ohio; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Texas R. (Susie) Willison of Lancaster, Ohio; and sister, Jennie (Gary) Daubenmire of Logan, Ohio.

Besides his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Willison.

A Celebration of Life for Buddy will be held at a later date.
