Alvin “Al” H. Stalford, 82, of Logan, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 peacefully at home.
Al was a devoted father, grandfather and husband.
He was born on February 12, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Ray and Helen (Schwab) Stalford.
Al promoted and sold athletic floors across the United States for approximately 55 years. He loved spending time with his family. Al enjoyed hunting deer and upland birds. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his wife DJ. Al and DJ always had the first vegetables ready every year and always had an awesome garden.
Al was a member of MFMA, Maple Flooring Manufacturer Association and The Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Logan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Betty Stalford (Robers); infant son, Joe; granddaughter, Kathy Conrad; and two brothers, Joe and Howard Stalford.
Al is survived by his wife, DJ Stalford; children, Mary Beth (Larry) Conrad, Tony (Karen) Stalford, Julie (Jason) Free, Jim (Jennifer) Stalford, Pete (Jessica) Stalford and Bonnie (Toby) Rone; grandchildren, Chase (Julie) Stalford, Jim (Marcie) Stalford, Amanda (Tyler) Thompson, Jeremy (Charleigh) Stalford, Isabella Posey, Hayden Spurrell, Nathan (Hayden) Stalford, Nicholas Stalford, Rachel Stalford, Sophia Stalford, Jed Conrad, Ben Conrad, Paul Conrad, Kim (Kenny) Coleman, Elizabeth (Matt) Ringenberg, Colton Rone and Meghan Lehane; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Kennedy, Norah, Dax, Veronica, John, Xavier, Blaise, Peyton, Porter, Jordyn, Oaklee, Elle, Cailyn, Abbey, Mia, Trey, Hank, Blake and Owen; sister, Marilyn (Ralph) Amshoff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen L. Krile officiating.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio. A Christian Vigil Service will follow at 7 p.m., officiated by Deacon Donald A. Robers and Deacon Larry Conrad.
