Anita June Holmes

Anita June Holmes, aged 91 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at The Carlin House in Logan, Ohio.

Born November 26, 1931 in Nelsonville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Lester and Audrey Beatrice (France) Columber.

Anita retired from Elberfeld Department Store in Logan, where she was a clerk for many years. She was the former secretary of the Logan Bowling League and was a member of their Hall of Fame.

Anita is survived by one brother, Delmar E. “Porky” (Linda L.) Columber of Logan; several nieces and nephews; and great friend and caregiver, Jeanette Johnson of Logan.

Besides her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Morton “Kent” Holmes (2015) and brother, Lester L. Columber.

A graveside funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Oak Grove Cemetery- Logan, officiated by Joshua N. Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anita’s memory may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 116 Morris Rd. B, Circleville, OH 43113.
