Anthony “Tony” Alan Beverly, 67 of Haydenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in Lancaster, Ohio.
Born January 23, 1955 in Montgomery County, Ohio, he was the son of the late George “Dick” and Phyllis (Pippen) Beverly.
Tony was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a former employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Buckeye Cleaning Services. Tony was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, fishing and camping.
Tony never knew a stranger. He would be telling you about God, inviting you to church or being a jokester just to bring a smile to your face. In life, he made arrangements to have his body donated to Ohio University to help further medical education and research.
Tony joined in Holy Matrimony on August 5, 1978 to Letha (Lightfoot) Beverly in Logan, Ohio. Besides his wife, Tony is survived by two sons, Brent (Shanna) Beverly and Charles “Charlie” Beverly; one daughter, Carrissa “Carrie” Beverly; three grandchildren, Justen Patterson, Chloe Beverly and Zander Beverly; Several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and three brothers, Charles (Wanda) Beverly of Miamisburg, Ohio, Richard “Punk” (Debbie) Beverly of Franklin, Ohio, and Matthew (Kelly) Kurpusik of Dayton, Ohio.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, George “Dick” Beverly and Ray and Phyllis Kurpusik.
A memorial service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Faith Tabernacle Church- 17499 Diamond Brick Road- Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Tim Kelly officiating.
