Boyd Edward Wright Jr.

Boyd Edward Wright Jr., age 90 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Primrose House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born February 14, 1931, in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Boyd Vaughn and Mary M. (Duffy) Wright Sr.

Boyd was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Ohio.  Boyd retired from General Electric Co. in Logan, Ohio after 30+ years of employment.  He enjoyed watching and playing all sports.  He was a big fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Boyd also enjoyed the game of golf, singing and drawing.

Boyd is survived by three sons, Kevin M. Wright of Apex, North Carolina, Troy M. Wright of Louisville, Kentucky and Boyd Mitchell “Mitch” (Leigh Ann) Wright of Orlando, Florida; one daughter, Traci Mae (Roger) Lattimer of Rockbridge, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Margaret Mowery of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Boyd was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Margie Ellen (Kornmiller) Wright (1/21/2021); twin sister, Betty Myers; and one brother, John C. Wright.  

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Pastor John David Davidson officiating.

Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Twp., Hocking County, Ohio where a military service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
