Brenda Joyce Cottrill

Brenda Joyce Cottrill, aged 79 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Born July 28, 1946 in Kopperston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marie Bailey.

During life, Brenda worked as a pharmacy technician at Hocking Valley Community Hospital before retiring. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Logan, Ohio as well as a member of the Ohio Eastern Star and Koinonia. Brenda especially loved spending time with her family and friends and travelling.

Brenda is survived by her son, Chad E. (Jennifer Yahn) Keyes of Groveport, Ohio; daughters, Alicia M. (Lee) Geiger of Logan, Ohio and Joyce “Roni” (Lucas) Swihart of Mason, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew Hartley, Seth Tobias, Heather Keyes, Katelyn Hoover, Kathryn Keyes, Annabelle Swihart, and Scarlette Swihart; and great-grandchildren, Norah Sanders and Ellie May Hoover.

Besides her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Cottrill (2015); son, Russell Stanley Keyes; and brother, Gary West.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jeff Ott and Reverend Lawrence R. Hoffmann will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home from 5-7 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026, with an Eastern Star Service taking place at 7 PM.
