Candace Marilee “Candy” Gastin, known affectionately by her loving family as “Nin”, aged 79 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.
Born July 15, 1945 in Union Furnace, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert Maynard and Ada Belle (Hill) Prater.
During life, Candy was a loving homemaker for her family. She was a proud member of South Harvey United Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio.
Candy is survived by her daughter, Holly Sue Gastin of Logan, Ohio; son, Randall R. (Rebecca) Keyes of Logan, Ohio; two grandchildren, Sarah (J.T.) Wright and Anna Keyes; great-grandchildren, Macie, Xoey, Amelia, Chesney, and Isaac; sisters, Sue Sparks McBroom and Billie K. Hoke, both of Logan, Ohio; and brother, Sherman A. Prater of Logan, Ohio.
Besides her parents, Candy was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Lee Gastin (2015); son, Jonathan Gastin; and sister, Sonia C. Sutton.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Sheree Cole will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 2 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of service at the funeral home on Monday, March 31, 2025.
