Catherine Marie (Kessler) Weiland-Angelo

Catherine Marie Weiland-Angelo, aged 97 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at SharonBrooke assisted living in Newark, Ohio on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Born March 14, 1928 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Mathias and Florence Theresa (Weis) Kessler.

During life, Catherine worked as a clerk in the City of Logan Water Department. She was a proud member of St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio.

Catherine is survived by her sons, T. Michael (Flo) Weiland of Newark, Ohio and Mark Edward (Jane) Weiland of Logan, Ohio; daughter, Ann (Thomas) Meese of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Erin Greene, Amy Weiland, Trisha Cole, and Clay Weiland; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Peter Weiland (1978); second husband, Sam Angelo (2014); brothers, Father Edward, Leo, Charles, and Harold Kessler; sister, Betty Rimelspach; and grandson, Matthew Mark Weiland.

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Jeffrey Rimelspach will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio at 10 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.
