Cathy Lynn (Decker) Young

Cathy Lynn Young, aged 71 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her residence.  

Born March 9, 1951 in Marion Co., Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William John and Mary Grace (Sanborn) Decker.

Cathy worked for the Hocking County EMS as a paramedic for 32 years and was a paramedic instructor for Hocking. College. She attended the Hocking Hills United Methodist Church.

Cathy is survived by one son; Jeremy Alan (Jennifer) Young of Logan, Ohio; two daughters, Heather Faye (John) Getz of Chillicothe, Ohio and Penny G. (Chad) George of Laurelville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Bryan Getz, Olivia and Sammy George, Noah Young, Lauren and Caleb Coakley, Gadsden and Presley Kempton and Stephen Getz; one brother, Scott Winbigler; two sisters, Peggy Fetter and Judy Gensch; and special friends, Jennifer Kempton and Susie Hall.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Pastor David Vanarsdale officiating.

Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Twp., Hocking County, Ohio.

Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
