Chance Smith Obituary

Robert Chance Smith age 53 of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Logan, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

Born May 17, 1968 in Newark, Ohio, he was the son of Carol Ann (Landis) Moder and the late William Roy Smith.

Chance was a graduate of Logan High School and worked as an OTR Commercial Truck Driver for Averitt Express. He was a family man. Chance loved rock ‘n’ roll concerts, horror movies, the beach and always being surrounded by his family when he wasn’t working.

He is survived by his daughter, Aerial Lennon Smith of Logan, Ohio; children, Chaz and Dacie Sinift both of Logan, Ohio; three grandchildren, Prestyn Dillion, Khali and Khai Sinift; two brothers, Chase Smith of Colorado Springs, CO and Dante Smith of Newark, Ohio; four sisters, Chanda Coomer of Sanford, NC, Corbin Schleup of Logan, Ohio, Codi Moder of Carroll, Ohio and Cassi Moder of Logan, Ohio; and eleven nieces.

A celebration of Chance’s life will be held at a later date.
