Charles William Roley

Charles William Roley, aged 91 of Sugar Grove, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born January 9, 1934, in Baltimore, Ohio, he was the son of the late Donald Everett and Ruth Elizabeth (Court) Roley.

During life, Charles worked as a maintenance man at Anchor-Hocking Glass Corp. in Lancaster, Ohio for 33 years before retiring. He attended Pleasant Valley Church in Logan, Ohio.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann (Darnell) Roley; son, Charles Douglas “Doug” (Martha) Roley of Rockbridge, Ohio; grandchildren, Jared D. (Mandy) Roley of Sugar Grove, Ohio and Tara R. (Jason) Garey of Logan, Ohio; brothers, Kenneth (Bonnie) Roley, John (Andrea) Roley, and Robert (Vicki) Roley; and sisters, Linda Rayburn, Ruth McCormick, Mary (Robert) Croft, and Janet (Steven) Shaw.

Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Ricky I. Roley; sisters, Alma Elizabeth Roley, Barbara Reese, and Gladys Kennedy; and brothers, Donald A. Roley and James Roley.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Bob Roley will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 2 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025. Burial will follow in Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Roberts Funeral Home.
