Cozetta Grim Obituary

Cozetta “Cozy” Grim, aged 83, of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Born November 21, 1940, in Coshocton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Levi Kirthbird and Lela Rose (Thomas) Hains.

Cozy by definition is giving a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. This was exactly how Cozetta made others feel. To know her was to love her. She was a dash of kindness with the perfect amount of spice. Her family, especially all 25 grandkids, were her world.

She loved to play cards (euchre) and bowling with her friends. While her children were young, she was active in Mothers Club, led Girl Scouts and 4-H. She even played softball a time or two with her oldest three girls. Later in life she spent her free time working crosswords, doing puzzles or watching game shows. Every fall weekend she spent watching the Buckeyes, Bengals and Browns. Her favorite spot was on her back porch.

Cozy is survived by four daughters, Debra (Tim) Shriner of Gahanna, Ohio, Joyce (Chris) Baker, Julie (Bill) Clegg, and Janalee (Rick) Davis, all of Logan, Ohio; one sister, Barb (Ed) Fitch of Coshocton, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Tim (Kara) Shriner, Tom (Lauren) Shriner, Trisha (Joe Liptrap) Shriner, Chris (Andi Sigler) Baker, Nic (Olivia Harris) Baker, Kealee Walsh, Paul (Sarah) Rife, Corey (Keira) Rife, Jen Rife, Cadence Davis and Easton Davis; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Bryson, Levi, Chase, Mason, Miah, Luke, Owen, Lily, Olivia, Colson, Liam, Crew, Luca, Emerson.

Besides her parents, Cozy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Andrew Grim; sisters, Marge Ward and Mary Hains; and brother, Dwight Hains.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, officiated by Joshua N. Martin.

Entombment will follow at New Fairview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Good Hope Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
