Cynthia Lee (Guerra) Burris

Cynthia Lee Burris, age 74 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her residence.

Born July 27, 1947 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Mario and Dora Lee (Heflin) Guerra.

Cyndy spent the majority of her life as a homemaker following a few years of teaching in the Logan and Lancaster school systems. She was an organist for many years at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Emanuel Lutheran Church in Logan. Cyndy loved music, reading, writing, watching movies and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends. Cyndy loved helping people and was known for her acts of giving and compassion. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by two sons, Eric Dain (Bobbi) Burris of Delaware, Ohio and Brooks Robert (Missy) Burris of Medina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Paul, Jesse, Skyla, Kylie Burris and Seth Fabian-Burris; one brother, Michael (Kirstan) Guerra of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Angela (Don) Harmon of Washington, Michelle Shelvin of New Jersey and Claudia (Tom) Printz of Louisville, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Cyndy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lynn “Bob” Burris (2007) and her son, Gregg Robert Burris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
