Dale Allen Hixon

Dale Allen Hixon, 62 of Laurelville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was united in heaven with his wife, son, father, brother, niece, stepfather and stepbrother and a bonus family friend whom he loved.

Born January 31, 1960, in Circleville, Ohio, he was the son of Leona S. (Hart) Woodard and the late Richard Jay Hixon.

Dale worked in building construction.  He loved hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors in general.  His greatest love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by five sons, Dale Hixon Jr., David Hixon, Dustin Hixon, Shane Hixon and Richard (Beretta Forrest) Hixon; two daughters, Chantel Ann (Jeremiah Skaggs) Hixon and Denise (Frank) Blevins; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Hixon; one sister, Carol Johnson; stepsiblings, Joann (Jeff) Tabor, Tom Woodard and John (Sissy) Woodard; stepchildren; Josh, Zach and Maria Burns; and a host of extended family and friends.  

Besides his father, Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Terri Ann Hixon (2019); one son, Brandon Hixon; one brother, David Hixon; grandfather, Hollis Hart; one niece, Danielle Rowe; stepfather, John Woodard; stepbrother, Richard Woodard.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at a later date.
