Daryl Edward Wheatley

Daryl Edward Wheatley, aged 45 of Laurelville, Ohio, passed away at Hocking Valley Community Hospital on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Born May 5, 1979 in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of Stephen Myles and Christine (Willcox) Wheatley.

During life, Daryl worked as a self-employed contractor. He had formerly been a member of Cub Scouts and 4-H.

Besides his parents, Daryl is survived by his wife, Ashley Nicole (Blackstone) Wheatley; daughters, Randa (William) Leonard of Logan, Ohio and Corbin (Peyton Cruse) Smith of Athens, Ohio; son, Nicholus Stephen Wheatley of Columbus, Ohio; grandson, Declan Cruse; sisters, Tina (John) Manley, Tracee (Willie) McKinley, and Kristina Goforth; and brothers, Arthur Leark and Stephen (Nicole) Wheatley II; and several nieces and nephews.

Daryl was preceded in death by his birth father, Danny E. Bowers; and his nephew, Westley McKinley.

A funeral service officiated by Reverend John T. Williams will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
