Dorothy Grace "Dottie" Mitchell, age 80 of Logan, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 after an extended illness at the Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.
Born November 26, 1930 in Greendale, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Delbert Herman Hupp and Louzena Gladys (Woolum) Jones.
Dottie was a legal secretary for Christopher E. Veidt Law Office, Hocking County Clerk of Courts, Citizens Bank of Logan and for the Logan Daily News; she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Logan, Ohio, a 1948 graduate of Logan High School and she served as a Volunteer Travel Councilor at the Hocking Hills Regional Welcome Center for several years.
She is survived by one son, Robert Eric Mitchell of Logan, Ohio; two daughters, Marsha Rose (Charles F.) Snyder of Logan, Ohio and Peggy Lou Lane of La Mesa, California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Walter and Richard Hupp, one sister, Inez Hupp and her step-father, Casey Jones.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm Friday at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Reverend James E. Ditty officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
