Earljoy "Earl" Crothers

Earljoy “Earl” Crothers, aged 82 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Born January 2, 1943 in Nelsonville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester Dale and Josephine Ellen (Joy) Crothers.

During life, Earl worked for ODOT for 32 years before retiring. He was a proud member of the former Immanuel United Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio. An avid Scottish Rite Freemason, he was also a former member of Mingo Lodge #171, the Aladdin Shrine, and the Hocking Hills Shrine Club.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Anna Jean (Notestone) Crothers; daughter, April (Dave) Suzanne (Crothers) Valkinburg; grandchildren, Caleb (Brandy) Valkinburg and Autumn Langham; step-grandchildren, Kasey and Kylee Valkinburg; and great-grandchild, Summer Langham.

Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry, Jerry, and Martin “Buddy” Crothers; and sister, Charlotte Simonton.

Per Earl’s wishes, no services will be held.
