Earnest Michael Stewart

Earnest Michael “Mike” Stewart, aged 70 of New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.  

Born January 7, 1953 in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earnest L. and Jessie D. (Martin) Stewart.

Mike was a Vietnam War Veteran, having served as an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army. He was the former owner of Performance Auto Detailing in Logan, Ohio. Mike was a member of Circle S Cowboy Church in Belleville, West Virginia and the American Legion. He enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with his family and dogs, Gus and Rex.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Ellen (Walker) Stewart; son, Justin M. (Sara) Stewart of Nelsonville, Ohio; stepson, Chad J. (Tonya) Hixenbaugh of Logan, Ohio; stepdaughter, Cara J. (Heath) McKnight of New Plymouth, Ohio; two grandsons, Toby Stewart and Paxton McKnight;  two sisters, Phyliss (Robert) Gossett and Joetta Dalie, both of Springfield, Ohio; and many friends.

Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn DeWitt.

Per Mike’s request, there will be no services held at this time.

Services are by Roberts Funeral Home- Logan, Ohio.
