Edith Clementine Emrick, age 93 of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Carlin House in Logan.
Born October 10, 1928 in Lancaster, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Osborne and Hazel (Cox) Smyers.
Edith was blessed to live such a long life. She was formerly a member of Lancaster SDA Church in Fairfield Co., Ohio. Many knew her over the years as a cook at Colonial Restaurant and Bush’s Restaurant in Logan. Her family had many favorite foods prepared by her hands, but she was best known for her homemade noodles. Most of all she’ll be remembered as a person that liked taking care of her loved ones.
Edith is survived by two sons, David Lee Emrick of The Plains, Ohio and William Edward “Bill” Emrick of Logan; daughter, Marita Ree McCune of Logan; grandson, Derrick James (Jamie) Hedges of Logan; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Maura and Jordi; two step great-grandchildren, Breanna and Wyat; three great-great-grandchildren, Alyce, Autumn and Carter; many half-brothers and sisters; and sister-in-law, Ann Emrick of Columbus, Ohio.
Besides her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald William Emrick (1964) and half-brother, Roy Radcliffe.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home – Logan, officiated by Pr. Charles E. Fidler.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
