Eldon Roy Stufflebeam, age 84 of Logan, Ohio passed away July 10, 2021 at Embassy Healthcare of Logan.
Born January 1, 1937 in Ward Township, Hocking County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethel Naomi (Smart) Stufflebeam.
Eldon had retired from C.J. Hughes Company where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #873 & the Logan Fraternal Order of Eagles- Aerie #2168, along with being a life member of Amvets Post #1776. Eldon was a huge fan of the Ohio State University Buckeyes.
Eldon is survived by his loving wife, Susan Rose Marie (Young) Stufflebeam; two sons, Edward “Chuck” Stufflebeam of Junction City, Ohio and Dale “Rob” (Amanda Rochell) Stufflebeam of Lancaster, Ohio; a stepson, Derek Altic of New Albany, Ohio; and a stepdaughter, Wiona (Michael) Porath of Pasadena, Maryland; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Alisha, and Miranda Porath, and Skylar and Braxton Altic; two great- grandchildren, Savannah Rose Marie Cornelius and Dylan Michael Cornelius; and a special great nephew, Greg Stufflebeam.
Besides his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Dallas Stufflebeam; and three sisters, Christine Stufflebeam, and Helen and Nina Cunningham.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio, with Reverend Gene Mathias officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in York Township, Athens County, Ohio where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 5-8 p.m.
The family is requesting that facial coverings be worn during all gatherings taking place at the funeral home and casual/ Ohio State clothing is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Eldon’s memory can be made to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
