Elmer Lawrence Howdyshell Jr., age 76 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his residence, following an extended illness.

Born June 14, 1946 in Monday Creek Twp., Perry Co., Ohio, he was the son of the late Elmer Lawrence and Evelene Elizabeth (Farmer) Howdyshell Sr.

Elmer retired as superintendent of Gatherco Gas Company.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife, Grace Ellen (Nixon) Howdyshell; two sons, Larry (Melinda) Howdyshell Sr. of Logan, Ohio and Micheal (Jennifer) Howdyshell of Somerset, Ohio; one daughter, Paula (Roy) Howdyshell of Columbus, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lee Emerson (Linda) Howdyshell of Marysville, Ohio.

Besides his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by two daughters, Julie and Mary Howdyshell; one sister, Edith Brown; and grandparents, David and Nora Howdyshell.

A private graveside service will be held in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery- Hocking Co., Ohio, officiated by Joshua N. Martin.
