Gary Wayne Waugh, aged 78 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born on January 12, 1945 in Athens, Ohio to the late Charles Frederick and Katherine Louise (Skiver) Waugh.
After 31 years of service, Gary retired as a special agent in charge with the United States Customs Service. He was a sitting Hocking County Commissioner. When he wasn’t spending time with his beloved family and friends, Gary greatly enjoyed farming.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Mary (Dennis) Waugh; two sons, Scott A. (Susan) Waugh of Bel Air, Maryland and Mark D. (Christine) Waugh of Haymarket, Virginia; four grandchildren, Heather, Braeden, Katherine and John Waugh; one brother, Jack D. Waugh of Logan and one sister, Nancy Darlene (Dan) Loper of Logan.
Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Dennis Waugh and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Waugh.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Roberts Funeral Home- 60 W. Hunter St., Logan, Ohio with Reverend Charles E. Fidler officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
