Gordon Ellis Bourgin

Gordon Ellis Bourgin, age 81 of Logan, Ohio, passed away, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation- Logan, Ohio.

Born January 18, 1931 in Virginia, Minnesota, he was the son of the late David Abraham and Lillian Goldie (Ellis) Bourgin.

Gordon was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Graduate of the University of Minnesota and hadworked as a newspaper reporter for various newspapers including the Cincinnati Enquirer and was associated with the Logan Metropolitan Housing Agency. He was co-owner with his late wife of the Orchard Ridge Apple Orchard, noted for their jams and jellies.

He is survived by two sons, Steven David "Steve" (Melissa) Bourgin of Sugar Grove, Illinois and Michael Bourgin of Athens, Ohio and two grandchildren, Evelyn & Bennett Bourgin of Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay Ann (Savey) Bourgin (2011), Step-mother, Florence Bourgin and one sister.

Funeral service will be held at 9:00 am Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Roberts Funeral Home Logan, Ohio.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Logan, Ohio.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
