Graham Howard Swaim, aged 84 of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
Born August 26, 1939 in Haydenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kermit Hollis and Glennus Annette (Pinkelton) Swaim.
Graham graduated from Logan High School in 1957 and remained a long-time Chieftain fan. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his service, he was the former owner and operator of Swaim's Union 76 Gas Station and The Brake Shop. Graham retired as the transportation director of the Logan-Hocking School District following 21 years of service.
Graham is survived by his daughters, Brigette Kay (Jr.) Sharp of Bremen, Ohio, Leslie Michelle (Ron) Geil of Logan, Ohio, and Jackie (Sam) Mascari; son, Jeff (Kim) Carpenter; grandchildren, Bryan, Jason, Samantha, Brandon, Matthew, Michael, Graham, and Jaci; and great-grandchildren, Quinton, Maci, and Willow.
Besides his parents, Graham was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Jean (White) Swaim (2013); son, Graham Howard Carpenter; brother, Raymond Eugene Swaim; and grandson, Kevin Michael Geil.
A funeral service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 10 AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 officiated by Joshua N. Martin. Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good-Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio, where a military service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Visitation will take place at the Roberts Funeral Home from 3-7 PM on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
