Hal D Brown

Hal D. Brown, age 93 of Logan, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at his residence.  

Born January 29, 1928 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles David and Lydia Ellen (Mohler) Brown. 

Hal was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.  He retired from General Electric Logan Glass Plant in Logan, Ohio after 38 years of service.  Hal was a member of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio.  During his high school years, Hal played football and basketball for the Logan Chieftains.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying all sports and loved the Ohio State University Buckeyes.  Hal loved to golf, and, in his lifetime, accomplished the incredible feat of scoring three holes-in-one.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by so many.

He is survived by one son, Steven H. Brown of Logan, Ohio; one daughter, Sandra K. (Stephen Weis) Brown of Logan, Ohio; one grandson, Steven Parker Brown of New Albany, Ohio and one step-grandson, Dustin (Kera) Weis of Logan, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Myah Weis; one brother, John Lee (Carol) Brown of Lancaster, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Florence Ellis. 

Besides his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Louise (McKee) Brown (2016); sisters, Betty Goss and Josephine Hansel; daughter-in law, Brenda Sue Dawley-Brown.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Joshua N. Martin officiating.

Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 p.m until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
