Harry Dean Chandler Sr., aged 68 of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away after a long illness on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville, Ohio.
Born March 15, 1956 in Washington Court House, Ohio, he was the son of the late Arnold Paul and Emma Anne (Leeth) Chandler.
Harry served in the Ohio Army National Guard and was a truck driver when his health allowed it. During his healthier years, Harry was no stranger to helping those down on their luck, often providing them with a safe place to lay their head and warm food. He never knew a stranger and had many lasting friendships with people who were more like family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Harry is survived by his three children, Mark (Rose) Chandler and Adeanna (Anthony) Six, both of Rockbridge, Ohio and Bobbi (Dustin) Hoy of Albany, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way; siblings, Gwen Hughart-Beekman, Kathy Leonard, Steve Chandler, Danny Chandler, Rose Milligan and Joe Chandler, as well as their spouses and children.
He is greeted in death by his wife of almost 45 years, Carolyn Anne (Reed) Chandler; their son, Harry Dean Chandler Jr.; sister, Clara Ann Brown; and brothers, Arnold “Bub” Chandler and Kenny Chandler.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
