Jack Chester Hartshorn

Jack Chester Hartshorn, aged 93 of Laurelville, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born October 6, 1931 in Vinton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Lincoln and Nellie Jane (Cruise) Hartshorn.

During his life, Jack worked for T&D Thompson before retiring. An outdoorsman, Jack loved being outside, especially cutting firewood.

Jack is survived by his sons, Tom (Brenda) Hartshorn, Rodney Hartshorn, and Chester Hartshorn; daughters, Marilyn (Bill) Westfall, Joann (Gary) Rose, and Mary (David) Porter; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sons, Lenny, John, and Randy Hartshorn; and daughters, Norma Rose, Kathy Miller, and Tina Brown.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the Hartshorn family suggests donations in Jack’s memory may be made to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130.
