James Raphael Hahn

James Raphael “Jim” Hahn, age 70 of Logan, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2022 at his residence.

Born July 20, 1951 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jacob Raphael “Jake” and Ruth Winojean “Winnie” (Sloan) Hahn.

After serving in the National Guard, Jim worked the whole of his working life at Geiger Brothers Mechanical Contractors. He was involved very much in hunter safety and scouting in his younger years and continued throughout his lifetime as an involved member of St. John Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jim’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, farming and beekeeping. He loved spending his time on his farm with his family in his retirement years, most especially working with his grandsons.

Jim was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann “Libby” (Vollmer) Hahn for 50 years. Also surviving are three sons, James Michael “Jim” (Nicole) Hahn of Logan, Fr. William Phillip Hahn of Columbus, Ohio, and Dustin Robert Hahn of Logan; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, William, Samuel, Catherine, Daniel, Bella, and Becket; three brothers, John (Bonnie) Hahn of Logan, Joseph (Mary Jo) Hahn of Tampa, Florida, and Jeffery (Stephanie) Hahn of Logan; and two sisters, Jane Delaney of Galena, Ohio and Jill (Nick) Storer of Carroll, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. William P Hahn officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home- Logan. A vigil service will be held at 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Jim’s family suggests memorial donations in his name may be made to the St. John School Tuition Assistance Program- 351 North Market St., Logan, OH 43138.
