James Edward “Jim” Wood, age 78 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Buckeye Care and Rehabilitation in Lancaster, Ohio.
Born in Starr Township, Hocking County, Ohio he was the son of the late Clarence William and Louise Pauline (Tucker) Wood.
Jim was a self-employed building contractor. During his time living in Monroe, Louisiana, he enjoyed hunting alligators in the Bayou. Jim also loved building furniture, planting flowerbeds, fishing and going to flea markets.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Verneda “Diane” (Hartmann) Wood; daughter, Missy (Brian) Hines of Westerville, Ohio; stepson, Russell “Alan” Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Christopher and Zachary; and two brothers, Donald Perry (Kay) Wood of Athens, Ohio and Thomas Joseph (Phyllis) Wood of Sun City, Florida.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Joseph Wood; two brothers, Lester Richard Wood and John William Wood; and two sisters, Anita Louis Fouty and Mary Margaret Garrison.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
