Jerome “Jerry” Bernard Shaw, aged 77 of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Logan, Ohio.
Born October 18, 1944 in Lancaster, Ohio, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Ruth (Ruble) Shaw.
Jerry served in the 630th Engineer Company of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following duty, he worked for several years as a truck driver. He then worked as an electrical engineer for Columbia Gas, where he retired in 2000. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors and was a collector of military vehicles. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Ann (Butterfield) Shaw; three daughters, Lori Lee (Paul) Kidder, Kimberly Sue (Douglas) Rutter and Amy Lynn McCafferty all of Lancaster, Ohio; one son, Paul Thomas Lambert of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor (Paul) Rhymer of Amanda, Ohio; sister-in-law, Donna Butterfield of Circleville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Paul David Shaw; two sisters, Phyllis Kessler, Katherine “Kitty” Flowers; brothers-in-law, Quentin Butterfield and Phillip Woolpert.
A memorial and rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Deacon Don A. Robers officiating.
A military service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
