Jerry Lee Boals, age 82 of Logan, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his residence.
Born November 18, 1939 in Logan, he was the son of the late William Dow and Nellie (Milsted) Boals.
Jerry had worked custodial maintenance for the Logan Hocking School District. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during peace time. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed fishing and camping and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.
Jerry is survived by one son, Jerry Sheldon (Janice) Boals of Logan; three daughters, Jody Beth (Michael) Clevenger of Logan, Renata Jean (TC Chapman) Boals of Lancaster, and Jacqueline Lee (Shawn) Shonk of Lancaster, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeannie Still of Logan and Carol Kasler of The Plains, Ohio.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lee (Christian) Boals (2017); daughter, Julianne Ketterman; granddaughter, Jennifer Ketterman; great-granddaughter, Amber Lynn Schirtzinger; sister, Linda Boals; and brothers Robert, Kenneth, Don, Melvin, and Ralph Boals.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home – Logan, Ohio with Reverend Stephen R. Hubbard officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery where a military service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4-7 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021 at the funeral home.
