Joan Humphrey Bruce

Joan Humphrey Bruce, age 87 of Logan, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital-Columbus, Ohio.

Born January 3, 1925 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl Herman and Vera (Humphrey) Hood.

Joan had worked for the former Logan Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Logan, Ohio with twenty-six and a half years of service. She had worked as a nurse's aide for eleven years at the former Cherrington Hospital, Logan, Ohio.

She is survived by one son, Dale Phillip Bruce of Logan, Ohio; three daughters, Cindy (Doug) Raver and Linda (Robert) Garren all of Logan, Ohio and Kathy (Sam) Ortiz of Richmond Hill, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Adam) Schein, Keri (Greg) Wilson, Amy (Tim) Douglas and Bryan Mohler all of Logan, Ohio, Sam, Kristen & Stefanie Ortiz all of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Jared (Rachel) Hoffman of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Bruce (2006).

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Reverend Bruce C. Livingstone officiating.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
